How they got to this day
2019 started out as a wonderful year.
JD and Ande were in love.

Ande’ decided to sell her home in Tampa and move in with JD.
Anticipating this day, JD was just finishing adding a master suite addition to his home in St Pete Beach.
Ande’ wanted her “moving in together” to be more than just sharing JD’s bed and household furnishings, as she had given away most of her furnishings to her kids and family.
That said, JD sold her 50% of his home at her request.
Ande’ had her equity and they both made the comittment to be together forever.

As their hearts healed from losing their spouses, their lives continued to grow better as months passed them by.
They were building a wonderful life together.
Then, their great year of 2019 turned sad and frightening.
In late summer JD was diagnosed with stage 4, HPV-16 orophayngeal cancer.
His chemotherapy and radiation started immediately.
His emotional rollercoaster continued through the Fall until treatment stopped in mid-October.
“Will I die? Can I beat this? I need to marry Ande’.”
Then, life gain turned tragic and unfair to Ande’. She lost her beautiful son Ian at the young age of 35 years.
They both needed each other more than ever, and JD started a life plan.
Fast forward to New Years Eve 2019. Brunch at Brennan’s restaurant in the Frenh Quarters of New Orleans.
JD asked Ande’s to marry him. YES!
One week later, he booked a life-long dream for their honeymoon.
OCEANIA’S Around The World Cruise in 180 days. Set to Sail on January 15, 2021.
Their excitement grew as they planned their wedding on the beach of Pass-A-Grille, Florida.

Then another face shot out of no where.
The entire world changed for the worse. COVID struck the globe.
Their honeymoon cruise was now cancelled indefinitely.
UNTIL NOW BABY!!! . . . . BON VOYAGE!
Welcome to our cruising blog.
Happy New Year.
Love,
JD&Ande’
